HOW FAMILY CENTRED SLEEP WAS BORN 

I'm a mum of two boys, a primary school teacher, school leader, leadership coach, and an infant and child sleep consultant.  During the first four months of parenthood, I took everything in my stride, relying on the mantra "this too shall pass." However, the 4-month sleep regression hit, and it hit hard, leaving me exhausted and frustrated. We sought help from a sleep consultant who in hindsight didn't align with our parenting approach, or take into account our son's temperament; the generic sleep plan provided didn't work. At 11 months, I reached a breaking point and enrolled in a residential sleep program, only to be abruptly sent home due to a gastro scare. Determined, I transformed my scratchy notes into our own sleep guide and adjusted it to suit our family dynamic, parenting style and bubs temperament. Within a week, our little one was sleeping through the night and taking two solid naps a day. We felt empowered and in control, reclaiming our lives full of connection, fun, and ease. Inspired by this transformation, and knowing full well how tough sleep deprivation is and how amazing it is to be on the other side, I pursued sleep studies and now help other families find their sleep success.
